Sep 17,  · The first three songs from the original release presented on the first CD (Thursday's Child, Something In The Air, and Survive) offer Bowie's style of stories where he channels an introspective mix of sadness; hope; and realisation of the character/hero, all are good but compared to the opener, Something In The Air pulls me more on intensity of /5(57).

Back in , Bowie's "Hours" did poorly, but on a second listen, there is a lot of talent and new material that seems at first seems like a throw-away "Hunky Dory". Sure, "Thursday's Child" and "Something In The Air" seem like frivolous pop, but take a second listen/5().

In , Bowie gave an interview to the Rolling Stone to explain some things about the Hours album. Things like the name of the album: Things like the name of the album: Oh, it’s a feeble pun.

Since David Bowie spent the '90s jumping from style to style, it comes as a shock that Hours, his final album of the decade, is a relatively straightforward geochronleaunaltheni.anfirotimmtydirisuawitzsangholcou.co only that, but it feels unlike anything else in his catalog. Bowie's music has always been a product of artifice, intelligence, and synthesis. Hours is a relaxed, natural departure from this method.
